Leverage was a fun film to take around the circuit! My plan from the very beginning with this film was that I wanted the characters and situations to be ridiculous, but play it straight with really cool action. I wanted people walking away laughing but also in awe of the stunts in a low budget indie short.
I put together an incredible team of people and we absolutely succeeded at that. We played 34 festivals and won 22 awards with it. The awards ranged from best overall short to best director to best stunt performance to best cinematography… with a bunch of others in between. I’m extremely proud of what this team pulled off with this one and hope you enjoy watching it!
